The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali'i swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ali'i has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Murray finds it's way round the side to connect with Ali'i's head.

Ali'i looks for the body kick but Murray saw that one coming.
Murray shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Ali'i is looking to counter punch.
Murray moves out of range as Ali'i strikes.
Murray is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Murray wants to clinch up but Ali'i keeps it at a distance.
Ali'i on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Ali'i throws a hook but Murray avoids it easily.

Kekoa Ali'i seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Ali'i creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Ali'i breaks the clinch momentarily and cracks Murray with a big right hook that drops him to the canvas! Murray looks like he might be in big trouble here! The referee has started the count straight away and we're up to 5 already. Murray get to one knee - can he make it back to his feet? No, he's flopped back to the mat - he's out - this one is all over!

Kekoa Ali'i spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant. |
