Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Washington.

It looks like Ignacio Nuevos has been cut.
Nuevos throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Washington lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nuevos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Washington swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Washington avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nuevos avoids the head kick by Washington.
No joy there for Nuevos, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Washington throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nuevos waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Washington.

Sloppy strikes from Washington. Those never looked like landing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A swing and a miss from Washington.
Washington fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Nuevos looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Washington lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Washington keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Nuevos scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Nuevos throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Washington counters with a good low kick that Nuevos was not able to check.
The fighters circling - Nuevos throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Washington takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nuevos takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
We've been told by Washington's head coaches at Honu Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Nuevos drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A punch combination from Washington misses.
Washington throws a sloppy head kick

and Nuevos decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Washington's guard.
Washington tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Nuevos working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Washington trying to keep a closed guard but Nuevos is proving a slippery customer.
Washington knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nuevos on the ground.
Washington wants to get back to his feet but Nuevos passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nuevos looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Washington with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Nuevos working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Washington is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Washington has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nuevos is working away from the top position though.
Oh Washington is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nuevos is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Washington is hurt! He's hurt bad - Nuevos fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Washington from any more punishment! Congratulations to Nuevos! Great finish!
