The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Talbain tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Thibodeaux manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Thibodeaux looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Talbain misses with the body kick
and Thibodeaux counters with a low kick, right behind Talbain 's knee.
Talbain closes the distance but Thibodeaux moves to the side
and Thibodeaux counters with a straight right hand.
Thibodeaux jabs Talbain to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A good leg kick by Thibodeaux.
Thibodeaux lands a nice looking body shot.
Thibodeaux bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Thibodeaux thumps Talbain with a low kick.
Talbain is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fortune Thibodeaux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Thibodeaux counters with a head kick. That will keep Talbain thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

enabling Thibodeaux to counter with a crisp jab.

Thibodeaux scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Talbain doesn't seem bothered though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thibodeaux ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Thibodeaux looks low and kicks high, catching Talbain right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it!

and Thibodeaux counters with a big head kick out of nowhere, perfectly timed, sending Talbain crashing to the mat! Talbain is trying to stumble back to his feet... will he beat the count? We're at 5,6,7,8,9,10! He's out! Thibodeaux takes this one thanks to a picture pefect counter strike.
