Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kugus Amiga (ranked 23610 p4p, 23729 weight class) and Rico Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kugus Amiga could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rico Salvacion's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 47 - 35 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kugus Amiga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 47 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Salvacion gets caught flat footed, as Amiga shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Amiga engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion wants to sweep here but Amiga controlling him for the moment.
Salvacion has control of Amiga's left arm, preventing Amiga from doing any damage.

Amiga controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Amiga gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Amiga shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Salvacion sprawls well. Salvacion wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Amiga gets slowly back to his feet.
Salvacion raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

A close round but Rico Salvacion will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Amiga quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

Amiga postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Salvacion is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Amiga fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Salvacion to the ground. Amiga is now in Salvacion's guard.
Amiga is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kugus Amiga dominated that second round.
That's time! Amiga's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Amiga decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Salvacion wants to get back to full guard but Amiga has mounted him!
Amiga is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Salvacion can do to turn this around?

Salvacion is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Salvacion manages to control the position for a moment.

Amiga content just to control the position here.
Kugus Amiga overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Amiga avoids the attempt from Salvacion to control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Salvacion wants to control but Amiga is having none of it.
Salvacion is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Amiga tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Salvacion tries to hold on but Amiga pushes him away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kugus Amiga showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Amiga has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
