PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leo Vuce (ranked 2501 p4p, 2425 weight class) and Killer Kidd (ranked 187 p4p, 180 weight class). Vuce comes to the cage accompanied by MC Yankoo. Killer Kidd told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 37 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leo Vuce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 11 - 3, fighting out of Montreal, Killer Kidd!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vuce gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kidd.
Kidd throws a hook but Vuce avoids it easily.
Vuce tries to counter by clinching up but Kidd breaks away and moves out of range.
Vuce takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Killer Kidd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kidd lands a lovely overhand right.
Vuce tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kidd swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kidd gets a clinch.
Kidd throws a head punch that misses.
Kidd lands an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A nice left hand lands by Kidd.
Kidd lands a hook to the side of the head.
Vuce is rocked!
Kidd avoids the elbow strike from Vuce, against the cage.
Kidd lands a right hand that snaps the head of Vuce backwards.
Oh Vuce is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kidd throws a punch but it's blocked by Vuce.
Kidd has a couple of punches blocked by Vuce.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Vuce.
Kidd misses with a punch on the inside.
Kidd managing to block the knees to the body from Vuce.
Kidd throws a head punch that misses.
Vuce seems to have got his legs back now.
Vuce really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Kidd.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Vuce pushes off an throws an elbow but Kidd leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Kidd creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Vuce with a big uppercut! Vuce tries to clinch up but Kidd pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Vuce to the mat! Vuce covers up and Kidd unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Killer Kidd!
A relieved looking Killer Kidd thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
