Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mer Lo (ranked 2850 p4p, 1496 weight class) and Caleb Jones (ranked 207 p4p, 119 weight class). Caleb Jones has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mer Lo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Caleb Jones!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jones scrambles back to his feet.
Lo slips under a jab from Jones.

Lo sets himself, and Jones steps forward looking for the clinch! Lo avoids it this time.

Lo rushes Jones and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Jones throws an elbow but it's blocked.

It looked like Lo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The crowd cheers as Lo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jones doesn't seem phased though.

Jones swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Lo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lo throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease.
Lo cracks Jones with an open hand slap.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively.

Lo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones.

A lazy left from Lo finds it's target.
Lo throws out a loose jab but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jones is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Jones takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

It looked like Lo was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jones.

Lo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Lo.

Lo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jones can do to turn this around?

Lo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Lo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lo has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted.

Jones has momentary wrist control but Lo slips an elbow through the middle.
