PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Millen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis comes to the cage accompanied by Deftones - Beware. Millen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Jerry was a Race Car Driver. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Millen tests Davis's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Millen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Davis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Millen misses the shot to the body.

Davis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Davis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Davis with a couple of short strikes.
Davis postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Millen looks a forlorn figure.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Millen is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Millen swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Millen throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Davis landing strikes, looking to finish!
Millen is in all sorts of trouble here.
The referee warns Millen that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davis controlling his opponent.
Millen is desperately trying to improve his position but Davis has a good base and remains in mount.
Davis tries to control but Millen wriggling away.
Davis prevents Millen from getting the reversal.
Davis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Millen is looking to escape.

Millen bucks up and throws Davis to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Millen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Davis was well out of range. Poor timing from Millen.
Millen looks to land a combination. Davis sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Millen scores with a hook to the body. Davis takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Millen walks into a jab.

It looks like Jerry Millen has been cut.
Millen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Davis takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Davis is rocked!
Millen circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Davis tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Millen wins by KO!
