The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aliyev dives in for a single leg takedown but Couture sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

A looping hook to the body misses from Couture. Aliyev does a little dance to reset his feet.
Aliyev darts in looking for a takedown but Couture gets double underhooks and turns Aliyev into the cage.

Couture is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Aliyev uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Couture.
