Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Jayme (ranked 3981 p4p, 3970 weight class) and Erivelton Sampaio (ranked 402 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sampaio forces Jayme back against the cage and clinches.
Jayme is struggling to control the position.
Jayme goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sampaio prevents it.

Sampaio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jayme swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jayme is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jayme seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sampaio for as long as he can get away with.
