Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dimebag Abbot (ranked 1964 p4p, 24663 weight class) and Amadi Yousuf (ranked 214 p4p, 506 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dimebag Abbot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Amadi Yousuf!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yousuf wants to clinch.
Yousuf takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Abbot ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Abbot no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Yousuf content to stall in guard here.

Abbot working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Yousuf doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Yousuf manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Abbot had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yousuf defends it easily.

Abbot is working an open guard so Yousuf takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Abbot shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Yousuf clinches up with Abbot and pushes him back against the cage.
Abbot jumps guard but Yousuf turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Yousuf tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Abbot's elbow.
Yousuf is trying to maintain a safe position but Abbot gets an underhook and turns Yousuf into the cage.
Yousuf works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Abbot tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Yousuf smiles and moves away.

Yousuf rushes Abbot and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Abbot has had enough of the clinch but Yousuf keeps him there for the moment.
Yousuf blocks a body shot from Abbot.
Abbot throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Amadi Yousuf dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Yousuf lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Yousuf scores with a sloppy right hand. Abbot should have avoided that one.

Yousuf closes the distance and pushes Abbot back into the cage.

Abbot tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Amadi Yousuf seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Amadi Yousuf showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Abbot is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Yousuf defends well.

I would just about give that final round to Amadi Yousuf.
I've got Yousuf winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
