This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and McCoy counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
McDonald displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McCoy throws out the jab.

McCoy moves forwards but McDonald connects with a nice, crisp jab.

McCoy has managed to clinch.
McCoy jumps guard but McDonald stands there with McCoy around his waist. McCoy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

McCoy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

McCoy drives through with a takedown into McDonald's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McDonald is looking to stand back up but McCoy counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by McDonald.
McDonald felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

McCoy seems to be working for a kimura but McDonald defends the submission attempt.

McDonald is trying to reverse the position but instead McCoy has taken his back - oops!

McCoy has managed to slip his arm under McDonald's chin. This could be all over... yep, McDonald is tapping out! Submission win for McCoy.
