Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Dover (ranked 2775 p4p, 2867 weight class) and Rufus Globe (ranked 301 p4p, 309 weight class). Rufus Globe will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Dover!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rufus Globe!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dover shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Globe napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Globe is looking for a sweep.
Dover is working Globe over with some ground and pound from side control.
Dover has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Globe manages to get back to half guard.
Globe trying to control but Dover postures up.
Dover looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Globe with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Dover lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Dover slips a nice elbow through Globe's hands, connecting with Globe's forehead.
Globe is pressing down on Dover's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Globe lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Dover is bucking up trying to escape but Globe cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Globe avoids the attempt from Dover to control.
Globe fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Globe is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dover to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dover shrugs it off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dover wants to control but Globe is having none of it.

Globe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Globe throws a strike aimed at the side of Dover's head but Dover avoids it well.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

I really don't envy Dover right now.
Dover trying to control the action but Globe just sinks the hooks in.
Globe has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Dover's body.

Dover is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Globe gets his way!
