The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibbersnout lands with a nice combination. Carretero backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Cristóforo Carretero has been cut.
Gibbersnout looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gibbersnout looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Carretero throws an overhand right that lands on Gibbersnout's shoulder, as Gibbersnout tries to avoid the shot.
Carretero swings for the body but Gibbersnout moves out of range.
Gibbersnout uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Carretero.
Gibbersnout tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

A head kick lands from Carretero that sends Gibbersnout to the canvas. Gibbersnout tries to scramble back to his feet but Carretero brings him back down into side control.

Carretero decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gibbersnout to his feet.
