Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Whitlock (ranked 3050 p4p, 25400 weight class) and Jacob Song (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joshua Whitlock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jacob Song! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Song misses with a combination
and Whitlock counters with a stiff right hand. Song misses with a hook
enabling Whitlock to counter with a crisp jab. Song misses with a lunging right hand
and Whitlock counters with a nice body kick. Song on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Whitlock lands a nice leg kick that just misses Song's sensitive parts. Song gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Song misses with a hook to the body
and Whitlock cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Song takes a body punch but keeps moving. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Song shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Song misses with the combination.
Whitlock is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Song doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Song looks winded!
Whitlock lands a left and a right that send Song crashing to the mat, dazed. Whitlock thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! A telegraphed right hand from Song misses the target. Whitlock throws a quick counter kick to the body but Song avoids it. Whitlock lets loose with a powerful body kick. Song will feel that in the morning.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Whitlock fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Song to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Song looks to clinch but Whitlock throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Song taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Joshua Whitlock! After winning the bout, Joshua Whitlock thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
