Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arthur King (ranked 1003 p4p, 2279 weight class) and Tevin Shay (ranked 117 p4p, 243 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shay throws a hook to the side of King's head but King sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

King gets the takedown into side control.
King scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Shay to see if he's OK.

King tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no King has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Shay is looking for a sweep. King is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Shay throws his legs up looking for a submission but King uses it to pass to side control.
Shay is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked King off and has taken his back!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shay is punishing King with some ground and pound.
King is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

King tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King reaches up and holds on to Shay to control the position.
King bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Shay is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
King scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
King tries to free his leg and advance position but Shay is retaining full guard.

Shay has his foot on King's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. King works his way back into a safe position though.
King wants to control from the top but Shay keeps moving.

Shay drops back, looking for a kneebar! King looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. King looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from King!

King works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

King has hold of Shay's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Shay tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - King cranks the arm and Shay screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Shay, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

A very excited looking Arthur King made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
