Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Thompson (ranked 116 p4p, 99 weight class) and Alexis Machine (ranked 11 p4p, 7 weight class). Machine is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Satan Is Real. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson swats away the attempt to clinch by Machine.

Thompson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Alexis Machine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machine tries to clinch there but Thompson circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Machine throws an elbow but it misses.
A nice right hand lands inside from Machine.

Thompson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Machine's elbow.

Machine is pressed up against the cage. Thompson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Machine down to the mat. Machine avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Machine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thompson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Machine wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Thompson wants to control but Machine is keeping him busy.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Machine is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Alexis Machine's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
