The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downey gets caught napping as Hamland dives in and scores a takedown. Downey manages to retain guard.

Downey on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Downey tries to get out of the position.
Hamland advances position into side control!
Hamland wants to stand but Downey is controlling his arm.

Downey is not content to let Hamland control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Downey tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hamland wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Downey tries to buck Hamland off but Hamland is having none of it.
Hamland wants to control but Downey is keeping him busy.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Hamland lands a decent elbow from side control.
Hamland creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Hamland is trying to get an arm triangle but Downey is defending well.

Downey takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Downey seems a little lost for a moment, as Hamland dominates the positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hamland wants to control but Downey is keeping him busy.
Hamland takes a little break here. Downey wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Downey tries to bench press Hamland off him but Hamland keeps the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Downey is letting Hamland control him for a moment.

Chick Hamland comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hamland has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
