Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daverio Graves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Klaus Manfred!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Graves. Those never looked like landing.
Manfred displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Graves throws out the jab.
Graves throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Manfred.
Manfred scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Graves doesn't seem bothered though.
Manfred defending well as Graves loads up on a big left hand.
Manfred let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Manfred throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Graves misses with a straight left.
Graves misses with a hook. Manfred ducked under it nicely.
Manfred tries to work over Graves's front leg with a kick but Graves checks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Klaus Manfred has been cut.
Graves fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Manfred manages to avoid it.
Manfred with the counter takedown but Graves avoids it easily.
Graves connects with a nice looking jab.

Graves will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Manfred connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Manfred ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Klaus Manfred seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Manfred looks to land a right hand but Graves moved out of range.
Manfred smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Graves missing with a left hand there. Manfred was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Graves jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Manfred throws a leg kick
and Manfred takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Graves fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Manfred manages to avoid it.

Graves with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Graves with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Manfred to score with a decent uppercut.

Manfred closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Graves quickly recovers to half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Graves is not content to let Manfred control the position.

Manfred seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Graves on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Graves tries to get out of the position.
Manfred is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Graves drops Manfred with a beautiful combination! Manfred stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Graves is looking for the KO!

Manfred decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Graves is in trouble now - Manfred has advanced to mount!

Graves takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Graves tries to hold on but Manfred pushes him away.

The referee warns Graves that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Manfred throws some wild stikes that Graves manages to avoid easily.
Manfred sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Graves is wriggling around trying to escape.
Manfred landing punches.
Manfred throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Manfred trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Graves keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Manfred fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Manfred scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Graves?

Manfred controlling the position easily from mount.
Manfred has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Manfred landing strikes from the mount and Graves is in trouble!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Manfred postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Graves bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Manfred and the fight is over!
