Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bogdan Volkov (ranked 3764 p4p, 3420 weight class) and Alfonzo Caramacho (ranked 397 p4p, 358 weight class). Alfonzo Caramacho is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alfonzo Caramacho!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It looks like Bogdan Volkov has been cut.
Caramacho throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Caramacho scores with a jab to the jaw.

Volkov clinches up with Caramacho and pushes him back against the cage.
Caramacho stops a takedown attempt from Volkov.
Volkov is leaning against Caramacho and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Caramacho cracks Volkov with a nice body shot.
Volkov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Caramacho just stands there and leans against the cage.

Caramacho will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Volkov up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Caramacho has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Volkov goes for a double leg but Caramacho avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Caramacho continues to drive forward.

Caramacho throws a series of punches but Volkov avoids them all with ease.

Volkov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Caramacho lands a nice hook to Volkov's body. Volkov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Volkov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Volkov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Caramacho throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Alfonzo Caramacho showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A relieved looking Alfonzo Caramacho thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
