Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eero Gustafsson (ranked 2656 p4p, 24998 weight class) and Maverick Calhoun (ranked 287 p4p, 520 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Maverick Calhoun was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calhoun misses with a takedown attempt
and Gustafsson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Maverick Calhoun has been cut.
Gustafsson has Calhoun up against the cage in a clinch.
Gustafsson scores with a shot to the side of Calhoun's head.
Gustafsson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Calhoun backwards.
Calhoun tries for a takedown. No joy.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gustafsson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
A nice left hand lands by Gustafsson.
Gustafsson lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Gustafsson has Calhoun pressed against the cage, preventing Calhoun from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Gustafsson manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Gustafsson gets through Calhoun's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gustafsson lands with a short shot to the head.
Gustafsson dips a shoulder and cracks Calhoun with a mighty uppercut! Calhoun falls back against the cage and Gustafsson unloads with a barrage of strikes! Calhoun is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Gustafsson screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eero Gustafsson!
Eero Gustafsson spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
