Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jyrki Sukulaku (ranked 1952 p4p, 1724 weight class) and Klaus Chugman (ranked 226 p4p, 206 weight class). The key to victory for Jyrki Sukulaku has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chugman moves away from the strike by Sukulaku.
Sukulaku has been working on his boxing with his coaches at 23.5 Hour Fitness in the buildup to the fight.
Sukulaku loads up on a big right hand but Chugman slips the punch.
Chugman feints the counter takedown.
Sukulaku throws a lazy right hand but Chugman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The fight stays on the outside here - Chugman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

My spies in Crapollas Gym inform me that Chugman has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Chugman is taking a breather. Sukulaku says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Sukulaku escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chugman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Sukulaku is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Chugman is aware though and is defending well.
Chugman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Chugman lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Sukulaku backwards.
Sukulaku is trying to maintain a safe position but Chugman gets an underhook and turns Sukulaku into the cage.

Chugman is trying to trip Sukulaku. He has hold of a leg but Sukulaku is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Chugman persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Klaus Chugman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Chugman has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sukulaku uses from the top position.
