Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Akhmed Dudayev (ranked 500 p4p, 605 weight class) and Apophis Kalmisto (ranked 66 p4p, 78 weight class). Apophis Kalmisto has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 32 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Akhmed Dudayev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 21 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Apophis Kalmisto! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dudayev lands with a straight right. Kalmisto didn't see that one coming. Dudayev fails to land with a series of punches.
Kalmisto has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dudayev. A slapping leg kick lands for Kalmisto.
Kalmisto throws a body punch but Dudayev moves out of range. Kalmisto throws a jab when Dudayev was well out of range. A little feinted left hand from Dudayev on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Kalmisto tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dudayev was well out of range. Poor timing from Kalmisto. Kalmisto scores with a nice strike. Kalmisto avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kalmisto gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Dudayev throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kalmisto swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Kalmisto throws a one two combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A jab lands there for Dudayev. Kalmisto throws a front kick aimed at Dudayev's knee but Dudayev avoids it well. Nice straight punches there by Dudayev. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Dudayev. Kalmisto feints a jab promting Dudayev to slip. Kalmisto then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dudayev slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Kalmisto keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dudayev. Dudayev lands a nice shot that snaps Kalmisto's head back.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kalmisto connects with a leg kick. Dudayev uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kalmisto.
Kalmisto misses with an uppercut. Dudayev saw that one coming. Dudayev tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kalmisto was well out of range. Poor timing from Dudayev. Kalmisto throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Dudayev's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kalmisto connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dudayev scrambles back to his feet.
Dudayev is rocked! Dudayev misses with a hook
and Kalmisto counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Dudayev has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Apophis Kalmisto! After winning the bout, Apophis Kalmisto thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
