Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nord Licht (ranked 1925 p4p, 1199 weight class) and Yannick Sakala (ranked 209 p4p, 132 weight class). Sakala has chosen Pole Pole as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakala throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Licht counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sakala comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Licht connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Licht takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Nord Licht has been cut.
Sakala goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Sakala connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Licht connects with a crisp jab.
Sakala just misses with a punch to the body.
Licht uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sakala.
Licht throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Sakala to counter with a crisp jab.
Licht paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nice defenses there by Sakala.
Licht throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sakala counters with a good, hard body kick but Licht shrugs it off.
Sakala fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sakala fakes the leg kick and cracks Licht in the body.
Licht is breathing heavily.
Licht needs to keep his hands up - Sakala had a free shot at his head there.
Sakala misses the shot to the body.
Sakala throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Sakala throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Sakala bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Licht's head backwards.
Sakala walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Licht drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Sakala swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Licht's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yannick Sakala!
Yannick Sakala opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
