Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cavalho Atunes (ranked 2622 p4p, 3206 weight class) and Carson Tully (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tully has chosen Aztec Tribe - Pistoleros as his entrance music. Carson Tully acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cavalho Atunes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carson Tully!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tully misses with a wild combination.
Atunes looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Tully shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Atunes counters with a nice uppercut.
Tully goes for a double leg but Atunes avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Atunes continues to drive forward.
Tully misses with a takedown
and Atunes counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Cavalho Atunes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carson Tully.

and Atunes makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Atunes throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Tullys head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Tully just misses with a elbow thrown towards Atunes's brow.

Atunes lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Tully is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Atunes is defending well.
Atunes lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Tully backwards.
Tully is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Atunes gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Atunes blocks an elbow strike.
Atunes stalling in the clinch.
Tully throws an elbow that misses.
Atunes scores with a knee to the head.
Atunes stops a takedown attempt from Tully.

Tully jumps guard but Atunes stands there with Tully around his waist. Tully gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Atunes is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee is keeping an eye on Atunes - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Atunes is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

A body shot lands from Atunes.
Tully ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tully no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Tully is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Atunes is aware though and is defending well.
Atunes advances to half guard.
Atunes perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tully with the active half guard here but Atunes passes nicely into side control.
Tully gets back to half guard.
Atunes looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Atunes has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tully actively working from the bottom here.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Atunes stalling.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tully.
Atunes throwing a counter right hand but Tully manages to avoid it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Atunes.
Atunes fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tully has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Cavalho Atunes dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

It looked like Atunes wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

enabling Atunes to counter with a crisp jab.
Cavalho Atunes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carson Tully.
Tully fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Atunes avoids it really well and circles away.

and Tully takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Atunes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Carson Tully seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tully on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Tully is rocked!
Tully is breathing heavily.
Atunes throws a leg kick which misses Tully's front leg but catches the back leg as Tully tries to avoid it.
Tully is still on wobbly legs! Can Atunes finish him?
Atunes cracks Tully with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
