The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mumba throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kontiainen counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Kontiainen closes the distance and pushes Mumba back into the cage.
Kontiainen tries to work over Mumba's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Mumba is trying to pull guard but Kontiainen has him pressed against the cage.
Mumba blocks a body shot from Kontiainen.
Mumba jumps guard but Kontiainen turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Mumba is trying to break the clinch but Kontiainen has him pressed against the cage.
Kontiainen has a couple of punches blocked by Mumba.
Kontiainen goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Mumba tries to pull guard but Kontiainen holds him up against the cage and eventually Mumba drops back down to his feet.

Kontiainen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Mumba throws out a loose jab but Kontiainen uses good head movement to avoid it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kontiainen! But no joy.
Kontiainen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kontiainen loads up on a big right hand but Mumba slips the punch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kontiainen. Mumba does a little dance to reset his feet.
Paavali Kontiainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That kick from Kontiainen tenderised Mumba's leg. Mumba is trying to keep his angry face on.
Kontiainen chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Mumba swings widly with a right hand
and Kontiainen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Kontiainen misses with an uppercut.
Kontiainen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It looks like Paavali Kontiainen has been cut.

Kontiainen instigates a clinch.
Kontiainen lands a body punch.
Mumba tries to pull guard but Kontiainen forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kontiainen gets through Mumba's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Mumba gets control of Kontiainen's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mumba will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Mumba seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Mumba is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kontiainen is aware though and is defending well.
Kontiainen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mumba's head.

Mumba has his foot on Kontiainen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kontiainen works his way back into a safe position though.

Kontiainen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mumba has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kontiainen has managed to get both his arms back between Mumba's legs - danger averted.
