Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nurlan Karim (ranked 2792 p4p, 3071 weight class) and Sean Pereira (ranked 292 p4p, 318 weight class). Nurlan Karim has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Nurlan Karim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sean Pereira!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira tries to close the distance and clinch but Karim swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pereira is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Karim dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Pereira. That did some damage!
Pereira avoids a kick to the body.
Karim definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Karim takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Pereira rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Karim moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Karim swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Pereira is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Karim to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Karim shrugs it off.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Pereira's coach down at 3Band MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pereira's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Sean Pereira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close second round but I would say that Nurlan Karim will probably get the nod.

Whack! Karim lands a heavy head kick that drops Pereira. The ref tackles Karim to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Pereira was done.

Nurlan Karim decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
