And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGregor gets caught flat footed, as Guei shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Guei wants to control from the top but McGregor keeps moving.

McGregor is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Guei controls from within his opponent's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guei trying to control the position from guard on top but McGregor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

McGregor looking for subs off his back but Guei has passed one foot through into half guard.
McGregor holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Guei seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
McGregor is looking for a sweep. Guei is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Guei tries to stand but his hand is stuck under McGregor.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
McGregor is looking to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Guei misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
McGregor is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Guei.
No luck with that takedown attempt from McGregor.
McGregor fails with a takedown attempt.
A nice side step and Guei releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Guei drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
McGregor is not content to let Guei control the position.
McGregor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Guei on the ground.
McGregor sneaks back into half guard.

Guei is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McGregor is just riding it out for now. Guei eventually gives up the hold.
Guei wants to lay and pray for a moment but McGregor keeps working.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Guei in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. McGregor tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Guei!
