The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Balkan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ramirez sprawls well. Ramirez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Balkan gets slowly back to his feet.
Balkan shoots in but no luck this time.

It looks like Ramirez might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
