PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Goldberg (ranked 2171 p4p, 2467 weight class) and Sir Beocca (ranked 234 p4p, 263 weight class). Beocca is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Alok & Mojjo - Love Love feat. Gilsons. Sir Beocca will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sir Beocca !

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beocca swings widly with a right hand
and Goldberg connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Beocca throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Goldberg.
Goldberg takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Goldberg looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Goldberg throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Beocca was covering up waiting for the punch and Goldberg finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Beocca wants to sweep but no luck.
Goldberg postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Goldberg cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

A less than humble David Goldberg misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
