Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chance Wilkins (ranked 4075 p4p, 3958 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fedor Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Emelianenko shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wilkins manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Wilkins manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Emelianenko manages to get himself to full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Emelianenko can do anything to dispel that myth.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Wilkins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Emelianenko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wilkins's waist but Wilkins gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Emelianenko off to one side.
Wilkins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Wilkins shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wilkins was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Emelianenko seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Wilkins gets caught napping as Emelianenko dives in and scores a takedown. Wilkins manages to retain guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
