The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Canizares.

Canizares throws a lazy right hand but Romero sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Canizares tries to bum rush Romero with a series of wild strikes but Romero uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Romero has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Canizares finds it's way round the side to connect with Romero 's head.
Rock Romero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Canizares bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Romero moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Canizares cracks Romero with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Canizares looks for the body kick but Romero saw that one coming.

Canizares lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Ezequiel Canizares has been cut.
Romero circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Canizares tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Romero wins by KO!
