Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Esad Aliev!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aliev misses with a hook

and Scott counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Scott throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Aliev on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Scott is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Scott tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Aliev is trying to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aliev is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Scott's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Scott's back!
I would not like to be Scott right now.

Aliev just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Let's hope that Aliev has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Aliev is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Scott is defending well though. Aliev let's go of the attempt for now.

That was a close round but I would say that Robert Scott will probably get the nod.

Aliev tries to clinch but Scott is having none of it.
Scott pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Aliev back to the ropes. Scott follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Aliev just misses with a punch to the body.
Scott fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Aliev on the side of the head.

Scott dives in and scores a takedown into Aliev's guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Scott wants to control from the top but Aliev keeps moving.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Scott moves into range and clinches up with Aliev.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Scott wants to stand and escape but instead Aliev has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Scott is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Scott throws a head kick but Aliev moves out of range.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Aliev enables Scott to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Aliev manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Aliev wants to sweep but no luck.
Aliev wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Scott throws a strike but Aliev rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

I would just about give that final round to Esad Aliev.
Well Scott has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
