Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Uwot Meight (ranked 2068 p4p, 2199 weight class) and Cavalho Atunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atunes doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Meight connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
It looks like Cavalho Atunes has been cut.
Atunes takes a kick to the side of the head.
Atunes fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Meight throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Meight takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Atunes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Meight misses with a low kick.
Meight smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Meight tries a head kick but it misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Meight throws a jab but it's blocked by Atunes.
Atunes let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Meight pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Atunes! But no joy.
Atunes lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Meight takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Meight scores with a nice head shot.
We've been told by Meight's head coaches at in shig we trust that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Meight throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Atunes plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Meight scores with a body shot.
Meight misses with a right hand
and Atunes counters with a stiff right hand.
Meight connects with a body shot.

Atunes tries to clinch there but Meight circles away.
Meight with a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Meight swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Meight looks to throw the jab but Atunes is out of range.
Meight backing away here, and Atunes unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Atunes swings for the body but Meight moves out of range.
Atunes lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Atunes cracks Meight with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Meight throws a body shot but no joy.
Meight fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Atunes on the side of the head.
That has opened up Cavalho Atunes's cut even more.
Meight tries to bum rush Atunes with a series of wild strikes but Atunes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Meight looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Atunes jabs at Meight's body.
Atunes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Meight manages to avoid it.
Atunes throws a jab but it's blocked by Meight.
Meight lands with a nice body punch.
Meight misses with a head kick.
Atunes is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Atunes avoids the body shot from Meight.
Meight throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Atunes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Meight throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Meight displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Atunes throws out the jab.
Meight was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Meight throws the kick towards the body but Atunes avoids it.
Meight checks a low kick from Atunes.
Meight does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Atunes was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Meight lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Atunes rushes Meight and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Meight misses with a short punch on the inside.
Atunes working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Atunes prevents a body shot from Meight.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Uwot Meight dominated that round.

Meight keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Atunes throws a body punch but Meight moves out of range.
Meight throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Meight with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Atunes takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Nice uppercut there from Meight.
Meight sends Atunes crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Meight is motioning to the referee to let Atunes up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Atunes is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
and Meight counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Atunes! He's just covering up as Meight starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
