Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Olly Holy (ranked 747 p4p, 754 weight class) and Eric Riendeau (ranked 85 p4p, 87 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holy moves into the clinch.
Holy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Riendeau walks away with a smile on his face. Holy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Holy takes the fight into the clinch.
Riendeau tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Holy tries to pull guard but Riendeau forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Riendeau misses with a punch on the inside.

Holy tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Olly Holy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Riendeau throws a punch but it's blocked by Holy.

Holy fails to pull guard.
Holy jumps guard but Riendeau stands there with Holy around his waist. Holy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Holy pulls guard effortlessly.

Holy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Riendeau doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Riendeau manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Holy seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Holy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Riendeau can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Riendeau has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Holy to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Riendeau is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Holy pulls down on the head and he's put Riendeau to sleep! This one is all over!
