The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shorts shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Boytsov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Boytsov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shorts gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Boytsov is on top in guard.

A relieved looking Dmitry Boytsov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
