Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mabuz Bacia (ranked 2907 p4p, 2566 weight class) and Aqissiac Jacira (ranked 313 p4p, 273 weight class). Jacira has chosen Cherokee War Song as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aqissiac Jacira!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Ron Honeybunn.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacira shoots in looking for a takedown. Bacia tries to sprawl out of it but Jacira keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bacia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've been told by Bacia's head coaches at Hare of the Dog Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Jacira dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jacira lands with an uppercut that bounces Bacia off the cage and back into range.
Bacia throws a body shot but no joy.
Bacia looks to land a combination but Jacira avoids it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jacira looks to land a left hand but Bacia moved out of range nicely.
Bacia was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Jacira has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Bacia connects with a looping right hand.

It looks like Aqissiac Jacira has been cut.
Bacia uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jacira.
Bacia steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jacira.
A low kick lands for Bacia.

Bacia misses with a series of wild punches.
Jacira fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Bacia tries to score with a low kick but Jacira moves his leg out of the way.

and Bacia takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Mabuz Bacia has been cut.
Jacira digs a good body shot into Bacia's ribs.
Jacira walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Nice body punch from Jacira.
Jacira jabs at Bacia's body.
Jacira catches Bacia with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A looping hook to the body misses from Bacia. Jacira does a little dance to reset his feet.

Bacia slips a jab from Jacira.
Jacira throws a sloppy head kick
and Bacia scores with a counter punch that sends Jacira to the canvas! Bacia smells blood - he's punishing Jacira with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Jacira has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
