Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Hell (ranked 2698 p4p, 2561 weight class) and Jorge Rodriguez (ranked 275 p4p, 263 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Big Hell has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Big Hell seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez throws a right and a left that Hell avoids nicely.

Rodriguez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rodriguez controls the position.
Rodriguez misses with the ground and pound.
Rodriguez has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at California Top Team. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Hell can't do much from the bottom here.
Hell is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Hell is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rodriguez is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Rodriguez connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hell some visible discomfort.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rodriguez is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hell will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Rodriguez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee asks Rodriguez politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rodriguez prefers to stall for the moment though.
