PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rocco Damato (ranked 2862 p4p, 19847 weight class) and Mono Loco (ranked 205 p4p, 320 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Damato might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Thunderstruck. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 35 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rocco Damato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 45 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mono Loco!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loco takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Loco gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Damato counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Loco shoots in but no luck this time.
Damato lands with a thumping leg kick.
Damato scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Loco gets tackled into the cage by Damato. Damato maintains the clinch.

Damato's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Damato accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Damato is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Loco is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Loco has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
