And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mamed Khalidov!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khalidov tries to clinch up.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Khalidov has eaten all the pies!

Gentry has managed to clinch.
Gentry lands with a right to the head.
Khalidov avoiding damage.
Gentry dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the ropes.
Khalidov is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Khalidov takes a knee to the side of the body.

It looks like Mamed Khalidov has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gentry drops Khalidov with a big knee straight up the middle! Khalidov is covering up against the ropes but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gentry closes the distance and clinches.

Gentry forces Khalidov back against the ropes and clinches.
Khalidov is still on wobbly legs! Can Gentry finish him?
Gentry's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Gentry lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Gentry creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Khalidov with a big uppercut! Khalidov tries to clinch up but Gentry pushes him back against the ropes and lands another monster strike that crumples Khalidov to the mat! Khalidov covers up and Gentry unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Billy Gentry!
In his post fight interview, Billy Gentry started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
