Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyke Bison (ranked 1756 p4p, 1824 weight class) and Ripley West (ranked 76 p4p, 78 weight class). Bison's entrance music is Tash - Destruction. A fine choice. Ripley West has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West throws a hook but Bison avoids it easily.
Bison takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
A telegraphed right hand from Bison misses the target.
West throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bison.
Bison is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
West misses with a wild body shot.
No joy there for West, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bison takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

West tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Bison has been working on his boxing with his coaches at 3Band MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Bison throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

West bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bison's head backwards.
West takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bison lands a left and a right that send West crashing to the mat, dazed. Bison thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Ripley West has been cut.

West looks to throw the jab but Bison is out of range.
Bison cracks West with a right hand to the side of the head.

West takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
West avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
West tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

West lands a jab to Bison's midsection.
West connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bison momentarily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

West changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

West lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
West looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
West might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Bison lands a jab.

Bison lands a nice hook to West's body. West takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
West is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
West keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And West tries to counter it with a takedown but Bison pushes his down on his head and steps out.

West has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

and Bison counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
West looks winded!

West looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
West drops his hands for a split second and Bison immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into West face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Bison follows up with a right hand that knocks West into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
