PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pete Price (ranked 1188 p4p, 2277 weight class) and Klaus Manfred (ranked 178 p4p, 310 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Manfred takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Manfred with a poor takedown

A slow jab from Manfred misses its intended target.
Manfred has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Manfred walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A decent looking cross lands there for Price.
A left lands for Price.
Manfred gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Price.
Manfred uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Price.

Price tests Manfred's chin there with a solid looking shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Price punishes Manfred's body with a nice straight punch.
Manfred looks to land a combination but Price avoids it well.
Price works over Manfred's head and body with a nice combination.
Manfred moves out of range as Price strikes.

Manfred closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Price is looking to take a break and control but Manfred is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Price is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Manfred doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Price.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Price lands a nice short elbow.
Manfred is refusing to be controlled, as Price sits in half guard.

Price wants to work for an arm triangle but Manfred is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Price has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Price landing punches.
Manfred is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Manfred is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The referee warns Manfred that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Price tries to control but Manfred wriggling away.

Price can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Manfred is looking to escape.
Price landing strikes, looking to finish!
Price avoids the attempt from Manfred to control.

Manfred is looking to improve his position but Price isn't that keen on the idea.
Price tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Price is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Manfred is surviving well by controlling Price's body position as best he can.

Price with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Manfred tries to lock up and control but Price gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

BOOM! Price connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Manfred is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Price has latched onto it... Big trouble! Price pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Manfred is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Price!
