Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Babcock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Terrance Knight!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knight looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Babcock scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Knight manages to mount him!
Babcock can't escape the position.
Babcock is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Babcock flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Babcock sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Knight winds up and cracks Babcock with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Babcock is trying to control but can't.
Babcock has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Babcock is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Knight scores with a couple of nice shots.
Knight lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Knight wants to pass the guard but Babcock is defending well.

Babcock wants to get back to full guard.
Babcock wants to control but Knight is keeping busy.
Knight thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Babcock's head.

Babcock wants to get back to full guard but Knight has passed into side control.
Knight misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Babcock manages to work his way to half guard, despite Knight's best efforts.
Knight working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Babcock is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Knight prevents Babcock from improving his position.
Babcock is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Knight scores with a couple of nice shots.

Knight looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Babcock with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Knight working over Babcock with some ground and pound. Babcock looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Babcock is rocked!

Oh Babcock is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Knight throwing shots but Babcock is blocking nicely.
Babcock seems to have got his legs back now.

Knight drops an elbow to the side of Babcock's head.
Babcock holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Babcock has hold of Knight's hands but Knight slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Knight lands strikes from half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Knight scores with a big shot! Babcock's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Babcock! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Terrance Knight!
Our winner, Terrance Knight, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
