The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Korppila is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shredder is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Korppila goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Shredder has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Korppila but great work by Shredder.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Korppila looking to break Shredder's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Shredder remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Korppila will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
