Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Escobar.
A right-left combo lands from Tavares.
It looks like Juanito Escobar has been cut.
Tavares uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Escobar.
Escobar ducks under a wild hook from Tavares.
Tavares pushes Escobar away with a front kick.

Tavares throws out a counter right but Escobar avoids it with no problem.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tavares checks a leg kick.
Tavares batters Escobar with a massive right followed by a huge left! Escobar is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Tavares lands a final crushing right hand to drop Escobar to the mat with a gruesome thud! Tavares is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

After winning the bout, Manny Tavares thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
