Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Calico Reddick (ranked 737 p4p, 2470 weight class) and Dexter Mallin (ranked 114 p4p, 330 weight class). Reddick comes to the cage accompanied by LXST CXNTURY. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Calico Reddick!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dexter Mallin!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mallin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reddick was well out of range. Poor timing from Mallin.
Reddick fails in his attempt to clinch.
Reddick loads up on a big right hand but Mallin slips the punch.
Reddick lands a really nice looking cross but Mallin seems unphased.
It looks like Dexter Mallin has been cut.
Reddick connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Reddick throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mallin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Reddick looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Reddick throws a body shot but no joy.
Mallin closes the distance looking to clinch
and Reddick counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mallin attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Mallin fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Reddick crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mallin - the referee stops the clock and Reddick gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mallin. Reddick manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Mallin lands with a good body shot.
Reddick takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Reddick is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mallin.
Mallin only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Reddick scores with the left hand. Mallin knows he should have avoided that one.
Nice defenses there by Reddick.
Reddick doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Reddick takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Mallin misses with a wild body shot.
Reddick throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A good leg kick by Mallin.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reddick looks to land a left hand but Mallin moved out of range nicely.
Reddick throws a hook to the side of Mallin's head but Mallin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Reddick has a couple of punches blocked by Mallin.
Reddick lands a left hand that snaps the head of Mallin backwards.
Reddick misses with some punches.
Reddick on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

A head punch on the inside from Mallin fails to land.
Mallin keeps control of Reddick as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Reddick's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Still in the clinch, Mallin scores with a nice short uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mallin fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Reddick lands a body shot.
Mallin tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Reddick avoids it.
Reddick lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Reddick takes a knee right on the jaw!
Reddick lands a left hand.
Reddick's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Reddick wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Reddick struggles to land a body shot inside as Mallin controls his hands.
Reddick breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mallin throws a wild body kick that Reddick sees coming a mile off.
Mallin throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Mallin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Reddick cracks Mallin with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Mallin looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Reddick finish him?
Mallin is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mallin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Reddick manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Reddick seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Mallin is still on wobbly legs! Can Reddick finish him?
Mallin lands a head kick. Reddick smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Reddick clinches.
Mallin seems to have recovered his senses.
Still in the clinch, Reddick scores with a nice short uppercut.
Mallin is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Reddick is defending well for now.
A short body shot lands from Reddick as the two fighters clinch.
Mallin looks winded!
Reddick breaks the clinch.
Mallin wants to slow Reddick down by chopping away at his legs.
Mallin tries a head kick but it misses.
Reddick drops Mallin with a straight right hand, right on the button! Reddick follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Calico Reddick!
Calico Reddick retains his light heavyweight title!
