Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Alvarez (ranked 1530 p4p, 2522 weight class) and Justin Case (ranked 199 p4p, 290 weight class). Justin Case is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Alvarez lands a two punch combo.

It looks like Justin Case has been cut.
Alvarez connects with a high kick.
Alvarez tries to bum rush Case with a series of wild strikes but Case uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Alvarez bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Alvarez throws a left and a right that both miss

and Case counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Alvarez tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Case controls from within his opponent's guard.
Case's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Let's hope that Case has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
A jab from Alvarez does it's job there.
Alvarez throws a hook but Case blocks it.
An inside leg kick from Case misses.
Alvarez throws a sloppy head kick and Case moves out of range easily.
Case dodges the punch combination from Alvarez.
A head kick misses from Alvarez.

Alvarez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Alvarez throws a head kick that misses.
Alvarez throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Case counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Case is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Case has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Case prevents Alvarez from getting the reversal.

Alvarez wants to control but Case is having none of it.
Case looking to control but Alvarez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Alvarez wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Case is cranking Alvarez's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Alvarez! He's tightened the choke and Alvarez is tapping out!
