Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryoto Takahashi (ranked 15 p4p, 226 weight class) and Olyn Seran (ranked 3 p4p, 33 weight class). Seran is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sound of Silence - Disturbed. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Seran stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Takahashi.
Seran has his takedown stuffed
and Takahashi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Seran misses with a wild body shot.
Seran just misses with a punch to the body.
Takahashi on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Takahashi lands a nice looking body shot.
Seran looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Takahashi has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Convicted Fight Club in the buildup to the fight.

Seran swings around for an armbar but Takahashi sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Seran's guard.

Seran working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Takahashi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Takahashi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round but I would say that Ryoto Takahashi will probably get the nod.

Seran thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Seran tries to escape but Takahashi has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Seran is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Seran stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takahashi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Seran drops back looking for a leg! Takahashi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Takahashi manages to kick Seran off! Seran jumps back into Takahashi's guard.
Takahashi pulls Seran in close to prevent any damage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Olyn Seran showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Takahashi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Seran.

Seran throws a body shot but no joy.
Takahashi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Takahashi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Seran throws a hook but Takahashi avoids it easily.

and Seran takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Takahashi throws out a loose jab but Seran uses good head movement to avoid it.

Seran tries to pull guard but Takahashi holds him up against the cage and eventually Seran drops back down to his feet.

It looks like Olyn Seran has been cut.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
