Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Julian Bashir (ranked 604 p4p, 729 weight class) and Kent Dew (ranked 42 p4p, 50 weight class). Bashir comes to the cage accompanied by Exodus - The Toxic Waltz. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julian Bashir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kent Dew!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bashir defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dew.

Dew drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Bashir tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bashir can't do much from the bottom here.
Bashir tries to buck Dew off but Dew is having none of it.

Dew is trying to get an arm triangle but Bashir is defending well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's time! Bashir's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bashir leaves Dew with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

It looked like Bashir wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Bashir is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dew's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dew's back!

You can see the frustration on Dew's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dew accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dew closes the distance and clinches up with Bashir, looking for a takedown. Dew pushes Bashir against the cage but Bashir circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dew shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bashir pinned against the cage. Bashir gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bashir stuns Dew with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Dew feints and as Bashir raises his hands in defense, Dew changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
