Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Corwin Anstey (ranked 1283 p4p, 3725 weight class) and Naoise Durnin (ranked 136 p4p, 374 weight class). Durnin has chosen I'm Shipping Up To Boston by The Dropkick Murphy's as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Durnin. Anstey does a little dance to reset his feet.
Anstey fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Durnin avoids it really well and circles away.
Horrible takedown attempt by Anstey or perhaps it was just good defense by Durnin, which made it look bad.

Anstey stays in close to Durnin's body and controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Durnin wants to stand up but Anstey is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Anstey looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Durnin goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Durnin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Durnin wants it to stay on the feet.

It looks like Corwin Anstey has been cut.

Anstey throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Durnin was covering up waiting for the punch and Anstey finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Durnin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Anstey controls the pace.

Durnin wants to stand up but Anstey is controlling him.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Anstey postures up in Durnin's guard and throws a big left but Durnin blocks it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Anstey moves out of range of the strikes.
Naoise Durnin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Durnin throws a push kick but Anstey slaps the foot to one side.
Durnin thows a left - swing and a miss!
Durnin throws a sloppy head kick and Anstey moves out of range easily.
Durnin throws a right and a left that Anstey avoids nicely.
Durnin shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Anstey eats them both and turns towards Durnin to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Durnin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Anstey.
Durnin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Anstey uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Durnin.
Anstey tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Durnin defends well and Anstey ends up having to push Durnin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Durnin is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Anstey is trying to pull guard but Durnin turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Durnin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Anstey backwards.
Anstey definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Durnin is pressed up against the cage. Anstey has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Durnin down to the mat. Durnin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
