Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ivarsson Trippin (ranked 24351 p4p, 3925 weight class) and Antwon Phisher (ranked 370 p4p, 295 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ivarsson Trippin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antwon Phisher!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trippin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Phisher fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Trippin to the ground. Phisher is now in Trippin's guard.
Trippin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Phisher content to stall in guard here.
Phisher trying to control the position from guard on top but Trippin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Phisher must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Trippin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Phisher.
Phisher shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Trippin sprawls well. Trippin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Phisher gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Trippin cracks Phisher with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Antwon Phisher has been cut.
Ivarsson Trippin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A solid leg kick lands there for Trippin.
Trippin throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Trippin slaps away a takedown attempt from Phisher, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ivarsson Trippin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antwon Phisher.
Phisher looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Trippin tried to counter with a leg kick but Phisher avoided it.

Trippin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Phisher has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Phisher closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Trippin wants to control but Phisher is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Phisher seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Trippin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Phisher looks to land a strike but Trippin avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Trippin tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Phisher drops back, looking for a kneebar! Trippin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Trippin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Trippin!

Phisher tries to improve position but can't.

Horrible takedown attempt by Phisher or perhaps it was just good defense by Trippin, which made it look bad.

Phisher looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Trippin lands a leg kick that knocks Phisher off balance momentarily.

Phisher throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Trippin tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Phisher is in Trippin's guard.

Phisher tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Trippin swivels and escapes.
Trippin lands with a thumping leg kick.

Phisher shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Trippin but Trippin pushes him off and we're back to square one.

A chopping leg kick lands by Trippin.
Phisher throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Trippin's waist but Trippin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Phisher off to one side.

and Phisher counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Trippin has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Phisher not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Phisher postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Phisher controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Trippin is trying to keep Phisher in close.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Trippin just content to control the position.
Phisher trying his best to control but Trippin has mounted him.
Phisher has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Phisher's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Phisher throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Trippin was covering up waiting for the punch and Phisher finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Phisher perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Trippin is looking to control Phisher's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Trippin avoid being mounted?
Phisher wants to control but Trippin is keeping him busy.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Well, if Phisher is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Phisher has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Trippin.
Trippin jabs Phisher right on the nose. Phisher blinks but takes it well.
Phisher shoots in for a takedown but Trippin shows good takedown defense.

Phisher takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Phisher wants to pass the guard but Trippin is keeping the position.

I would just about give that final round to Antwon Phisher.
I think Trippin has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
